Only a few more hours....till Christmas

It's 11pm and I still have one kidlet, who is sick, no thirsty, ummm hungry, ahh not tired...and the list goes on lol
This time last week I was in Perth for a flying Christmas visit with my two grogeous grandsons and their Mummy and Daddy...we had a lovely time....

These two have grown up soo quickly... I am very lucky I get to see them every six months!!!!

My big girl just woke up...we had an early Christmas Day, so they boys went to bed early and tar dar there were presents under the tree when they woke up....My girl is fantastic cook and we enjoyed a yummy lunch... I was only there for five days and the time just flew...sniff sniff

It has been a busy year with two deaths in the family and a week at Royal Far West for one of my kidlets and a week later 10 days in Fiji and few weeks later and a flying visit to Perth...not much on the sewing front...except my trusty hand old time kaleidoscope BOM is always on hand...

Tonight I will add the border and tick off number 10.... As I don't know know how long I will be up waiting for Santa to deliver his presents so I can go to bed !!!!!,
Merry Christmas and a fabulous New Year!!!!!
Keep Stítching

I'm slowly running out of my precious French General stash...

I haven't been Stítching much lately as we have a friend staying and she doesn't sew!!!!! Hehehhe but we have been colouring in with the kids...had to order more colours as I didn't think I had enough choice with 24 pens lol

New BOM for 2017

Sarah Fielkes new BOM 'Down the Rabbit Hole' for 2017 is now ready for signup. I have soo enjoyed this years Happy Days. I look forward to the last day of the month where I am sent an email with a link to my own personal video showing all the techniques for the current month.

The rabbits can be changed to two other options, more details on Sarah website.
For $5.84USD a month or $70USD for the 12 months you receive a downloadable pattern and a video link.

Sarah made 3 quilts for this years BOM, this is her black and white one, she also made one with a pink colourway and one with a blue.

My 12in blocks are the right top and bottom pics. As usual I still have a few 12in blocks to complete but have finished all the smaller blocks. The mess by the sewing machine is from two 12in foundation pieced blocks lol. Ive used my beloved Le Bouquet and Le Belle Fleur from my French General stash.
I hope to be finished by the end of November as we will be starting the borders....but alas in three days ..I am taking our little family to Plantation Island, Fiji for a glorious 10 days!!!! After waiting for a LONG time we have finally received passports for our sibling group of 3; Master 10, Miss 9 and 8 are soo excited as they have never been on a plane before...Miss 4 wont be making this trip, hopefully next time.

Playing catch up....

A few rainy dreary days...what is one to do?? Position yourself in a central position to supervise, mediate and feed the children.... Take out your current BOMs and play catch up....yesterday I worked into the  Splendid Sampler ... I am way behind but slow n steady....

Today I have played with Sarah Fielkes BOM.... I had 19 stars to cut n sew....I chain pieced the half square triangles , they must have been a kilometre long lol...

Time for a rest this afternoon and watch Ever girls love Cinderella..... Can you pick the wrongly turned triangle lol...lucky only the individual blocks are stitched.....
