What a surprise

On the way to the kids football this morning, I told my hubby I needed to drop into The Home Patch ( my third visit this week lol) as I needed a few threads and who did I see when I hobbled in through the door.....Anni ....yes of course but I got a surprise as I saw Chookyblue standing at the counter!!!!!! After a quick chat... Who walks through the door but Janice!!!! Then..... Out of the classroom strolls Roz (Bloom)... A mini unplanned bloggers meet hehehe.... Unfortunately I had to leave as I told hubby he couldn't stop at Repco as I needed to get my thread before the game....

Anni, Janice, Chookyblue, me and Roz..

And yes no crutches after 5 months I'm now walking (hobbling lol)....

A little more stitching....

Slow but steadily I'm stitching away. Only 2.5 more of these little stitcheries to do, then I can start designing the quilt! I hope to have it completed later in the year .....but .....please don't hold me too it lol.

FNWF update

I had a great night, I finished a stitchery and started another! I have HEAPS to do ....lots of unfinished projects lol....

I also made a great purchase on Friday... Anni Downs new book The Home Patch...let me just say I LOVE it? I love all quilt mania books but Annis has a lot of old favourites and lots of new projects in her 200+ pages. If you love Anni downs of Hatched and Patched then you won't be disappointed with this book!!!!

Local Craft group

Today I was lucky enough to join the local craft group weekly meeting. I heard they were learning how to make a Dorset Button and I was curious?
Ta dah......

They turned out really well and made in under an hour...I thought it would be a great embellishment for a wool project maybe? It was a great day and lunch was nice too!!!
