Happy Melbourne Cup Day

Before I talk about Melbourne Cup, I must show you the border fabric I bought for my Sue Daley Lancaster Quilt. Tis different from Sues quilt but I think it suits my French General fabrics ( looks a little rusty in this pic) ...I also boughts some scraps of Annis Xmas fabric for a swap item and some pressies for a very special birthday girl which I will blog at a later date....love secret stuff dont you????

And Happy Melbourne Cup Day !! I dont usually do anything for Melbourne Cup, Im not a punter, just a stitcher lol...BUT today Ive been baking most of the morning for a P&C Melbourne Cup Afternoon Tea at our school. Ive made lots of mini quiches, with our own eggs, spinach and herbs from the garden and three batches of brownies ( cooling as I type)...

Its quite warm here today, I was in the vegie garden early and planted our third lot of chinese vegies as they are growing fast and need replenishing and some more perpetual spinach.....ahhh love fresh vegies..have a wonderful afternoon my lovely blogger friends x
