Angel story almost over....

Yay...the last block has been sewn!!! When i get home I have to sew a thousand 2 1/2" squares together ..ok maybe not that many but a few hundred Id say ... Another tick Miss Khrissy please....

What a find....

We found a gorgeous mermaid sleeping on the beach .. having a relaxing time ..... and Im getting some sewibg done too!!!

Finished another block, onto the last block now.... ahhh holiday stitching...

Life has been busy in our household of late...I dont feel like Im getting any sewing done at all...
I did manage to finish another Angels Story block yesterday at sewing with Khrissy, apologise for the wrinkles ..has anyone else had trouble with blogger; for two days it kept putting my pics sideways grrr...today all good

 

 

Only have one more to go, thought I was finished but found another one lol.......I am trying really hard to finish all my outstanding projects...shhhhh I know there are HEAPS...

We are heading off to Bulli on Sunday for a week, a last minute decision...yay tis my favourite place to visit. Our cabin is metres from the beach...the only decision I need to make is what sewing Im going to take!!! My reading has already been decided, Khrissy has kindly lent me the first three Elm Creek Quilt novels ( in one book)..easy reading....then we will try and get a few days at the opal mine....**a quick wave to chookyblue**

Hexagon Mad!!

Im being overrun by Hexagons helpppppp..... No actually all good. I have been a little slack posting my Inchy hexagons each month....when these two lovely hexis arrived yesterday so I thought Id better do a post...
I received these lovely hexagons from Shannon in Idaho US. Thanks Shannon

And I sent these in August to Janelle in Queensland

 

 

Im currently joining on the last two flowers of my vignette hexagon quilt this morning yay... I have added an extra 40 flowers to the quilt so far and it still needs to be bigger, to fit on a queen size bed...sniff sniff... I dont have enough material to make any more rows, so i will add a thick white border and applique some  half hexis along its edge... its taken me this long to handpiece it all, therefore Id like it big enough to be able to use it...Am ordering the border fabric today.....so close to finishing NOT lol

The wonderful thing about swaps is that you are soo focussed on making your goodies for your partner that you forget that you will getting goodies in return. Today was one of those days, a nice surprise...

two and a half...

I have been stitching away trying to finish my 'An Angels Story' blocks... I have two and a half to go, hopefully I will finish them over the next few nights....

Khrissy is almost finished her blocks!!!  Khrissy and I started "An Angels Story" and "A Christmas Story" at the beginning of the year... only a few months left to finish... dont want to even think about where IM up to on the Christmas blocks.....

Once a Season Swap

Dont you just love Spring!!! I sent my Once a Season Swap pressies to Peg this week and shes now received her parcel.

 

Peg is a big Anni Downs fan, so this Spring swap was an easy decision...

Spring has Sprung

Spring is here!! So is a bad flu!! I have been out of action since the weekend...not much on the sewing front... I had a lot of swaps to post off this week...The Secret Sisters fat quarter birthday swap...you know who you are lol..... The Once a Season Spring Swap....and The Inchy hexagon swap....
So to all you lovely ladies, my wonderful hubby made two 100km round trips to Bathurst this week to post your items!!! Hes soo lovely!! Alas I only have a pic of one of the pressies...and they are wrapped!!

Dont you just love surprises!!! Im headed back to bed for a nanna nap...need to shake this dreaded lurgy....
